The Hirt & Carter photography division is an intriguing mixture of quality and quantity; one part of the operation produces nearly 10000 product shots a month for use in the libraries maintained for retail clients, while another undertakes a variety of projects, ranging from photography for advertising agencies, to jewellery, furniture and room sets.
There are fully equipped studios in all three major centres; alternatively, our professional photographers can capture your images either digitally or on film using the best equipment available, at a location of your choice.
After many years of offering conventional photographic services, Hirt & Carter were one of the first facilities in the country to expand into professional digital photography.
Digital photography offers many benefits - not least of which are the obvious time, quality and cost benefits. The digital process also makes shooting on sets much easier, as the layout and ambience of the image to be previewed before final capture.
Furthermore, the image can be e-mailed or viewed on the Web by clients for their approval, instead of having to rely on Polaroid proofs, which are not only costly, but do not always portray an accurate image.
Any flaws are easily detected, can be corrected on-the-fly, and the image, which is burned to CD, is ready for immediate pre-media work.
A further advantage is that our photographers are well-versed in the requirements of the printing industry, and know what sort to shots to deliver to ensure the best possible print reproduction.
